Windows open, a good coffee pour, biplanes buzzing in the background, good friends on the way to spend the weekend with us – this morning, there is much to be thankful for; I’m reticent about “missing” anything. Still, I do miss having four seasons, and this is the time of year when my mind wanders to (and my friends’ feeds remind me of) the almost-sudden, spectacular Seattle spring tailor-made for walks and rhododendrons.
We’ve had the pleasure of living in the Pacific Northwest three times – on beautiful Fidalgo Island, in Portland, and most recently, in Seattle on the north shore of Lake Washington. Anacortes and Whidbey Island remain some of our favorite places.
It’s that time again – I always struggle with the end of school teacher gifts. I want them to really reflect my heart for the people who keep my kids safe and happy each day. Nothing really fit the bill last year, so I designed the teacher appreciation gifts myself. They were a huge hit so this year, I’m sharing them with you. I hope you love them as much as I do.
